About older rowhome wiring
A lot of Philly rowhomes don't have a C-wire — the extra wire most smart thermostats need for continuous power. I check for it first, and bring a C-wire adapter kit as a fallback so you're not left with a thermostat that won't turn on. If your system doesn't work correctly with a smart thermostat, I'll reinstall your old one at no charge and you don't pay for the install.
Want smart switches or dimmers wired into your circuits? That crosses into licensed electrician territory in Philadelphia, so I don't do that one — happy to point you to someone who can.

Do you supply the devices, or install what I already bought?
Either. Already picked a brand — Nest, Ecobee, Wyze, whatever — I'll install it. If not, I can bring standard options for an added parts cost. Labor price is the same.
What if my thermostat has no C-wire?
Common in older rowhomes — I bring a C-wire adapter kit as a fallback, priced as the no-C-wire tier above. No thermostat gets left non-functional over a missing wire.
Do you install smart switches or dimmers?
No — wiring a switch into an existing circuit crosses into licensed electrician work in Philadelphia, so it's outside what I take on. If that's what you need, I'm happy to point you to a licensed electrician instead.
Do you set up the app too, or just the wiring?
Both — wiring is half the job. I pair every device to your account, name it clearly, and test it on your phone before calling it done.
Is my old wiring even safe for this?
I check before installing anything. If I find old cloth insulation, no ground, or anything that looks unsafe, I'll tell you plainly rather than wire a smart device on top of a bigger problem.
How soon can you come out?
Once booking opens, most smart home installs are same-week. Pick a slot online, then track my ETA live on the day.
